I am a painter and illustrator specialising in portraiture. I work in oils as well as pencil and pastel, undertaking a variety of painting and drawing commissions (please see commissions page for prices).

I started drawing and painting from an early age, practising observational drawing and studying the Old Master techniques. After completing my university education I began lecturing as well as portrait painting. 

 

I paint portraits of people because I find faces fascinating, and when I paint a portrait I feel the person in the painting can be remembered that way forever.
